Teresa Davis, MA, LPCC-S
Teresa Davis, MA, PCC-S Teresa established the Ontario Counseling center in 1995 and has been in private practice there for 20 years as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor working with individuals, couples, and families. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Ms. Davis earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling at Ashland Theological Seminary, where she has been an Adjunct Professor of Counseling in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program since 1999, teaching introductory and advanced Marriage and Family Counseling courses, Counseling Techniques, Differential Diagnosis, and leading Interpersonal Skills, Practicum, and Internship groups. In addition, Ms. Davis has been an adjunct faculty member in the Criminal Justice and Social Work Department of Ashland University since 2009, teaching courses in Marriage and Family Relationships. She has also conducted seminars on marriage and family topics.

Ms. Davis has served as a clinical supervisor to counseling interns at Smetzer Counseling Center of Ashland Seminary since 2003. Professor Davis has an undergraduate degree from the University of Akron (1974), and a Masters Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Seminary (1995). She completed 30 hours of post-graduate clinical course work to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in 1997.

Ms. Davis specializes in individual, marriage, and family counseling, and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has been married for 42 years to Dr. Tim Davis, who has practiced as a chiropractic physician since 1978. Professor Davis has four sons, three daughters-in-law, and two granddaughters. She enjoys spending time with her husband and family, and delights in serving in Newville Church, where her husband is pastor/teacher and she is involved in women’s ministry.

Her research and clinical interests include Couple and Family Therapy Practice and Training, and the Integration of Theology/Spirituality and Counseling.

Teresa has developed an engaging style of counseling that embraces extensive research and study as well as personal and professional experience. She would like for all of her current and prospective clients to know that she is absolutely committed to an undivided focus on their struggles and concerns, and that she promises to do her best for every client who comes to Ontario Counseling Center for help. Even after nearly twenty years of practice at Ontario Counseling Center, Teresa has not lost her awe and wonder over the beautiful process of emotional and spiritual healing.
